Sensei Whitney Shaver

Brief info

I started with Martial Arts Canada before I could walk with Renshi, Shihan MaryLynn, and many other amazing black belts surrounding me from a young age. In 1999 I was competing in my first world competition in Georgia, Florida as the youngest competitor competing in sparing, kata and self - defenses.

I was an active competitor for 10+ years in the National Black Belt League taking home many top placements in point and continuous sparring, kata and a few times in the weapons ring.
My passion and the place I have always excelled is in the sparring ring.
In 2009, I started running my own kids class and gained some amazing teaching experience from a young age.
2010 is my most recent worlds competition in Buffalo, New York. With an average of 20+ people in each division from around the world, I was very excited to place 5th in Kata, 2nd Point Sparing. With my most memorial placing being 4th in continuous sparring as I was fighting as an under belt in a black belt division with some amazing competitors.
2012 I took part of WKC Provincials with a 1st Point sparing, 2nd Kata, 2nd Continuous Sparring.
2016 brought me back to MAC after a short leave for University where you can now find me teaching the Tiny Tigers, Youth and Adult Class at the Tillsonburg Location.
